Home Welcome to My Website! I'm Matthew Reade, a young author who writes fictional novels. John: Son of a Commander, Clone 71: The Brotherhood, and Conner and Jackson: The Boyd Brothers are my first three novels. I began my career writing historical fiction, but I have now expanded into science fiction. I was inspired to write by Christopher Paolini, the author of the popular book, Eragon, because he was only fifteen years old when he wrote his first book. I am twelve years old now and have an immense passion for writing, so I will be writing many more books in the near future.
To learn more about me and my novels, please take some time to explore my interactive website. Enjoy! I have just updated my newsletter! Go to the Newsletter tab to check it out! - Matthew Update finished on Monday, November 8th, 2008 at 8 a.m. | Read books! I want to keep you interested in books. Not just mine, but all books. They are fun, interesting, and are just downright enjoyable. Please read books. You won't regret it at all. Why I write I write books because of several things. One, I believe it is a person's responsibility to use and share their gifts with others. My talent seems to be writing, so I write. Others utilize their talents to lead, teach, and help others who may not have the capability to use their talents diligently or responsibly. Writing helps others by improving their vocabulary and their reading speed and accuracy. Best of all, you enjoy anything that you have worked on for a long time, such as a book. In fact, many have built careers on writing by using their knowledge to raise others up. I read for enjoyment frequently, and I believe this has contributed to my writing skills. Thank you.
